NFS Carbon was meh in my opinion.

i like midnight club because of free roam racing and the customizations
what i dont like about midnight club is even though you try hard for the most money and upgrade your car to have somewhat advantage, the opponent scales no matter what and will always be on par or faster on the straight run

I've only played Carbon once so I don't remember a whole lot about it, but yeah it was the next closest thing to underground.
