A sunsinger thinks thorn is broken yet uses Viking funeral Firebolt and touch of flame with a shotgun and flame shield

I use that setup on my warlock as well as thorn too haha.

I personally like thorn and still think it's easy to combat with the right strategy. I just prefer not to use it in normal crucible when I can be practicing with weapons that I can use effectively in both IB and trials.

Same can be said for sunsingers. They have a powerful melee and top 3 grenades. But they can be shut down pretty effectively provided you're aware. Hug walls, shade step, blink, snipers, shotguns, scouts and even ARs effectively shut down most sunsingers. Thing is (and I fall victim to this way too much) most sunsingers overestimate how large their melee reach actually is. If you back pedal when you engage a sunsinger at close range more often than not you can gun them down while they swing at you 2-3 times instead of firing. This happens even when they get the drop on you.

All in all I say screaming broken is boring. I've seen and been shut down too many times. Sunsinger is a class that anyone can play. It's easy it's accessible and is somewhat of a crutch. However I'd argue it's still pretty hard to play extremely well for the average player.
