Also I don't think charcoal to propane is a good comparison for butane and regular lighters.

butane and matches are must for lighting up any cigar. No cigar aficionado would use any other lighter or candle or whatever to light up a cigar. Only 18 year old high schoolers who think they are Tony Montana do that shit.
Ask any cigar aficionado, butane is the way to go because it's odorless. you get nothing but the flavor of the cigar in yo mouth

but yes you're right with matches and butane. I personally like butane more because it lights it up faster and since I normally 97% of the times smoke it outside butane is much much more reliable due to wind. but at bars I normally use matches.

I smoke cigars with a lighter but they are cheap as math cigars.

I had one bar at my previous college town that you can smoke cigars (that I know of atleast). It's the first bar I went to for my 21st bday, was sick as fuck. They have ~6-8 pool tables too. One of the manliest bars ever

Both. But, my wife has a lot of family that has died due to smoking so she hates it so its nothing more then the occasional Century Sam or Captain Black. And I mean really occasional.

well in the summer I smoke probably once every two months and in the winter I smoke probably once every two three weeks. Thankfully they're not addicting and they are just as bad as Hookah imo
