allright, i dont even know how to do PvP atm.

i just went past the 1st blacksmith boss, enjoying the game really really much.
i summoned a guy, he helped me beat the gargoyles, since i wasted my "lightning buff" on em and didnt kill em, was 1 hit short from beating them solo.

also, can i sell my stuff somewhere ? or deposit them ? do all the extra crap ( swords, armor i dont use ) slow me down ?

edit : i didnt kill the drake, didnt he burned the shit out of me once, and since then i just tayed out of his way :D
killed every other boss, except for one black knight, one up on the tower.

Extra stuff doesn't slow you down. Only equipped items do.

You *can* sell stuff later, but for very little; pretty much just for clearing inventory space. Won't be able to do so until after you ring the second bell.

As for PvP: don't do it. 90% of the people you will meet that try to PvP around the beginning of the game are running around with +5 lightning weapons, and they will most likely kill you in one hit, or come very close to doing so.

Once you are a bit higher level and much better geared, I'd say give it a shot. Just avoid low-level PvP as much as possible.

As for me, just started a 40 str/40 dex build (for various +15 normal weaps). Now I see why so many people use the Great Scythe; the range on it is a bit ridiculous. Loving it.

the attack patterns on the GS is pretty sweet too.
i like the unique weapons cause they're so odd and people don't usually use them, but so cool

it still depends one what type of character ur making.
a heavy character needs 40+ just to wear the gear and still be under 50%

my heavy character is at 50 end with havels ring+ring of favor and prot and thats barely enough.

if you're going to pvp, you need the flip ring

GS is slightly different and has more reach.
i tried both on a different character, not for pvp, but just in general, GS has a bit more range and a little different swing patterns.
but lifehunt has bleed/poison i believe while GS doesn't

lifehunt scythe only has bleed, but it has the highest build up afaik, which is 500

go to the bridge with the hellkite dragon

theres a door there which you have the key for now (on solaires side, opposite the bonfire)
