got the game, ordered standard edition, they sent me limited edition by mistake, at the price of standard. had some luck lol ^^
2 hours into the game, stil getting used to it. atm in undead burg, having trouble with the second black knight, the one up in the tower.

got all the default armor, except for the axe and the shield.

any tips ?

dont bother with the black knights until ur a little stronger, they will always be there when u come back.

have u killed the armored boar yet?
its easy to lure him over to where those stairs are, he'll run through the fire.
2 hand ur weapon and drop down on him and attack, u should only have to do that like 2-3 times depending on how strong ur weapon is.

Remember, you can always go back to an area that you've "beaten". It's a lot easier to kill Black Knights when you've upgraded your gear and reached a higher soul level. Black Knights don't need to be killed right away. That is unless you're trying to obtain the corresponding weapon (e.g. Black Knight Sword from the first Black Knight; Black Knight Greatsword from the second) or need some Titanite Chunks in order to upgrade your gear. However, if you're intent on killing them as you encounter them, your best bet is to dodge their attacks and then backstab them. You could also try parrying them, but that will probably take some practice.

As a side note, make sure to upgrade your armor when you find a piece that you like (whether it be for the stats or for the looks). You don't want to focus solely on raising your soul level.

levels arent that important

upgrading your gear is tho

weapons>armor>levels

This is slightly off topic, but does anyone still play Demon's Souls? I just picked it up today because a lot of people said that it's more of a challenge.

the problem is, i dont even know how or where do i upgrade my armor :/

you'll be able to upgrade your stuff once you meet the first blacksmith, dont worry about it for now

and dont leave that area until you've bought all the boxes from him, repair/smithing/upgrading boxes. you don't want to get halfway through blight town on your first run with all your gear broke and be fucked like my first character

lol same thing happened to me on my first run
i was using the drake sword i think, and right when i got to the 2nd bonfire (didnt know about the shortcut) my drake sword was nearly broken, and was doing 1/2 dmg (well i think its half)
anyway i was pretty happy when i found out about the shortcut (didnt have the masterkey either, chose the tiny being ring cuz of the false description)

if it wasn't blight town, i mightve been okay, i think i was using the drake sword too and it was my only reliable weapon. i had to remake my character because of all that LOL
