what crown is this?!?!?

The following information was taken from one of the Dark Souls Wikis [http://darksoulswiki.wikispaces.com/Magic (Sorry, I can't link web addresses)]:

As of patch 1.05, which is the current patch at the time of this post, there are three items that increase spell damage. They are as followed:

-Crown of Dusk +20%
-Crown of the Dark Sun +10%
-Bellowing Dragoncrest Ring +20% - This ring stacks with Crown of Dusk for a combined bonus of +44% spell damage; combined with Crown of the Dark Sun, the bonus is +32%. In addition, depending on the spell that was used, this ring as varying effects (See http://darksoulswiki.wikispaces.com/Bellowing+Dragoncrest+Ring for a chart of tested spells). According to the aforementioned chart, this ring does not affect miracles.

To add to that, Ring of the Sun's Firstborn increases the damage of miracles by 20%. As such, assuming you classify miracles as spells, there are at least four items that increase spell damage (as of patch 1.05).

jesus christ, literally every person who invaded me last night was doing that lag backstab shit.

could it be because my ps3 is using a wireless connection?
the router is only like 7-10 feet away, but it does have to go through two walls.

my signal strength is 95-100%.

yes

also if you try to circle someone while having them locked, its really easy to backstab you, and it will probably look like a lag backstab, but in fact isnt one
never try to circle someone while locked, theres no easier way to get backstabbed

I'm almost positive that everyone has to deal with the possibility of "lagstabs". Unfortunately, that's the only thing that a lot of PvP'ers know how to do.

On the topic of lag, as I'm sure you've experienced, being able to parry somewhat consistently (online) requires a lot of practice; a lot of deaths too. You can't always rely on what you're actually seeing so you must compensate for the lag. If you haven't already, I suggest watching some videos from PhantomEWGF on YouTube. His channel can be found at http://www.youtube.com/user/PhantomEWGF?blend=1&ob=video-mustangbase. He talks about backstab, dead angle, and parrying techniques, along with some other mechanics that revolve around PvP. PeevePeverson of YouTube also has a pretty good parrying montage/tutorial. While his video doesn't have actual commentary, it's worth a watch. It can be found at http://www.youtube.com/watchv=b1G8Vhxz3YQ&list=UUxW2Le1cFAD14KP1k9mrYBw&index=1&feature=plcp.

parrying would be a lot more effective if it had the same timing as in pve

i love parrying in pvp, but you either have to guess when theyre going to attack or wait for them to try and combo you

but people will always try to backstab since its the easiest way to kill someone
if parrying was effective, people would be using it

wow, i didnt know that.
i wont be doing that anymore then =/

then theres the matter of me hitting them head on, but somehow they take no damage or they magically block with their shield or weapon. (note that i dont even see the animation of them raising their shield or wep to block)

i guess im gonna have to feed an ethernet cable through these walls, hopefully that lessens the amount of lag i get in pvp.
