in my opinion, the main problem with the skill based matchmaking (and this was brought up in one of the videos), is that it punishes u for playing with some of your friends. ya, the lag might be an issue here or there and there might be a blinking red bar in every game, but i dont really see it as a problem that makes the game completely unplayable. the main problem is, when you play with a friend who is less skilled than you, he will more often than not get shit on. i dont care how good you are, but when you're getting matched with some top 100 dtr leaderboard players (i know dtr rankings doesnt mean much, but generally a top 100 ranked player knows wtf they're doing and are above average at least in skill level), and you have a teammate who constantly is going 7-16 as a result because they're struggling to carry their own weight, that gets dull and annoying FAST. now not only is he losing his 1v1 gunfights, but for his every death (particularly in a 3v3 playlist), that just opens up opportunities for your opponent to pinch and collapse on you or builds up your enemy's supers to 1 shot kill you. so, as a result, i dont even play with a fireteam anymore, because the cost to benefit ratio isn't worth it at the moment. i do better playing solo than i do when i play with that 1 friend. they should just return regular crucible matchmaking to its pre december form, decrease the amount of playlist options (there's like wut? 15 of them now?) to lessen player base dispersion, and add in a competitive or ranked playlist option. let people choose if the want to chill in regular crucible or try their ass off in the ranked playlist.

They could just make a couple playlists skill based and revert the rest to what they were before and that would be completely fine
