oh haha that thing, there's a way to get behind it where you can stab at it.
i haven't fought that thing since my first play when the game came out since i usually just take the back entrance to blighttown and finish it skipping all that stuff

power within is pretty dope tho, i usually climb back up to get this and the eagle shield

i don't use pyro spells very often, but yea it's a strong spell.
as for eagle shield, i also don't use that, i like grass crest shield more.
plus no need to block if you simply dodge

still cool to have for those times where you have to block
offers 70 stability (iirc) w/o any upgrade cost
i usually use this or grass crest shield until i get to anor londo, where i get a silver knight shield and upgrade it to +5


then i just switch between grass and silver knight

but still, for someone starting, its probably one of the better shield for them, its light, it gives a looot of stability and it has a good lightning res, something a lot of shield lack
def worth getting on your first playthrough, thats for sure

i used eagle from the moment i got it to ng+3 lol

used the mask of the child for my stamina regen

well everyone use either father or child mask lol
