Any multiplayer in this game, thought there was not

Nope. I think it was said for 2 main reasons, 1 the MMO they are working on and 2 the story is pretty much meant for singleplayer. Although I wish we could trade items with people. It's huge game.

so lame y the hell cant they add online to these games like wtf baldurs gate on my ps2 had online ffs ...i mean good single player games r cool but online adds a whole new element and value to a game imo

Not sure lol. There are probably several reasons on why. It doesn't bother me that much but chances are they probably will have sequels or of the sort and might have multiplayer.

You are looking at online in general all wrong


just because a game is cheaper/older, doesn't mean it can't have online. It is just how they invisoned their game and built around in. Just like how skyrim is a single player experience.

actualyl the online was pretty crappy with baldurs gate but after beating the game going on to just fuck around killin shit with 3 other ppl was fun
why make it a mmmorpg? make it have like 10 ppl games or sumthin i mean online should be an option in most games
and lets be quite brutally honest here thers hardly any top notch rpg games in terms of a hack and slash rpg they have lacknig single players a very basic online would add so much to the games

The situation is unique with this game. The original project under BHG fell under and was partially scrapped but 38 Studios bought BHG and BHG already had the engine and shit made and all while 38 Studios is making the MMO world of Reckoning or close to it and he [Curt] wanted people aware of the MMO and fall in the love with it before it came out and so it is why they made Reckoning.

*And its older also is why the game will be at Directx9.

after watching some gameplay i really want to get it, the combat is really the type of thing i would want to play, 3rd person real-time action that looks like it would actually require skill to play + huge rpg world? too good to be true
