If you have friends who play it then it is but if you don't have friends who play it then you probably won't get very far and not enjoy it. It's a fun game though just a lot better if you have people to play with.

this game gets hella stale if you're playing alone

that being said, its not hard to find people to play with. its a pretty friendly community

I'm burnt out on other games, saw a twitch stream of taken king that sparked my interest in this. Gonna go pick this up after work I got a few friends who are willing to start over with me

you can play alone, im a lone wolf since day 1 and never got bored.

As long as you like grinding for equipment you will enjoy the game.

And yes, if you plan on start playing again you should get the taken king. If you want to do most of the weekly events, you will need the dlc. The year 1 content is pretty much useless now and nobody does it anymore.

If there's one thing that mayhem is good for it's completing those retarded gunsmith rocket launcher challenges. Those things are truly awful, it's not too bad with a Titan tracking helmet though

Mayhem is also really good for subclass quests

But I haven't even upgraded my gunsmith since I hit rank 3 on all chars. Don't care about first curse but I have a feeling eventually there will be some epic gun at rank 10 or something and I will have to grind it out
