thats lag man. are you invading or being invaded? being invaded you are the host, and can give you an edge. backstabbers are not that hard to deal with too. faith build.. wrath of gods or force quickcasted.. go beat them up!

As host, I get backstabbed from every direction and distance imaginable. And my connection is fine (30+ Mb/s), so I seriously doubt it is lag. I never had a single issue with backstab abuse in DS, and when I did get backstabbed, it was perfectly fair. In this game, I get backstabbed for no reason and from every possible direction.

Maybe I just have shit luck? I really don't know, but it is extremely annoying.

ive never been lag backstabbed either. maybe youre playing off of a router? idk

look at their profile after

if it says theyre in europe/asia they will lag teleport
and they will constantly lag backstab.



if youre vs an american its usually pretty good latency wise, but they suck dick at the game anyway

tons of people still play this, whether in this forum or just simply on the game itself.

as for lagbackstabs, i get a couple, but it's usually from the same person.
other than that i usually don't have that problem, but it is likely that the person is either from EU or JP, cause i've been summoned as a white phantom and the host themselves lag, as do the monsters, like i can swing at them and they don't even move.
the craziest lag is when i kill the monster and it's still standing there (though it doesn't move or attack since it's dead)

i've also fought bosses where the lag is pretty bad, so i can pretty much do a drop attack on taurus demon and he doesn't respond till 5 seconds later

there ways to counter people circle strafing around you, you just have to learn how

i was just as mad you are right now when i started pvping, then i learned the basics

I did fine at avoiding backstabs in DS. The basics seem to be the same, but in DS, I sure did not have people backstabbing me from my sides/front. Like you all said, maybe it's lag, maybe not. Kind of hard to tell when it happens so often.
