Nintendo's problem is that they waste too much money developing new versions of the same hardware.

some people prefer the XL for the bigger screen
some parents are stupid about parental control stuff so 2DS is perfect for them

so does the 3ds play wii - u games?

nope 3ds does not
although the next gen probably would be able since they merged the handheld/console divisions a while back to make them closer in design on the OS side or something like that

I just don't see the point in posting about sales unless you have stock invested in the company
3DS has been around longer than the Vita, so sure, you're going to see a spike in the sales with Nintendo
but lets talk features, the Vita blows that shit out of the water by a landslide

oh personally I do prefer my Vita, but the 3DS can have some pretty neat and unique features of it's own (most notable game I can think of is a DS game though)

Last place in sales. By a LOT.

more people really need to give the vita a chance it's a pretty dam good handheld with a decent library of games now
