They probably make more money allowing it(two not five). Imagine how many people are buying stuff they might not normally buy because they can split the cost of share it. Am I going to go out and buy that full price game I kind of want to try but I am unsure about? Nope, will I if it costs me 50%? Fucking rights I will.

Not to mention it is a selling point of their consoles, which probably helped ps4 get the insane sale numbers it has.
