They have to. In the scenario of a parent with two children and one console. If they didn't allow it every game that both children want to play would have to be bought twice or they play on the same account.

Why? You bought 2 consoles. So go ahead and buy 2 copies of the game and if 2 different people are going to be using ps plus then go ahead and buy 2 subscriptions of that as well.

If there was no digital version of the game, then 2 discs would be the only way both kids could play the game simultaneously.

It just seems like a poor decision from the start. Now people will cry if they stopped the sharing.

everything purchased when the limit of 5 existed are still limited to 5, so any games bought prior to a change would likely be left alone like before
