why the hell does so many people use the dragon greatsword

It has high natural base damage and I think it scales with str

it doesnt scale (well the wiki says it doesnt)

i mean there are so many better weapon that you could use with 50str

oh well, more humanity for me i guess (got about 30 today, was a good day)
