It works similar to PS3 were as soon as you activated plus it assigned you a licence that expires on a certain day. So online or offline at that time plus will expire.

Can I password protect my ps3 & ps4??
Like when you start up the console, it'll ask you for a password..before you can even select an account to sign in with
If I remember correctly this was possibly on ps2
I wanna prevent my gfs son from being able to jump on my consoles without having to remove the controllers

turn off auto log in and iirc u can pw protect the accs?
or u need to put in the pw to log into psn or what not
or just make him his own psn an auot log onto it then switch to urs when u play

It's been 3 weeks without the internet and I'm going crazy

Its been 3 years with no cable for me. I spend too much time outside to watch mindless tv like that

The point is probably too deny access to the consoles unless permission is given.

Disable auto login
Disable guest account

Then when you turn it on you get stuck at login unless you know the password.
