i still cant believe u did all that at lvl 27.

i actually just made a shield from the great grey wolf sifs soul, it blocks really heavy attacks like they were flea bites xD

it's not too hard, there are little tricks you can use to help make it easier, but the rest is just knowing what to do and knowing how the enemies behave that make it easier.

shield of artorious is really strong, it's just a little weaker than havels too, it's a really solid shield.



yea i noticed.
i nearly killed him like 1 swing away and i still hadn't gotten his tail off so i just stood there and died to him.
but the next time i did it, i hit his tail like twice at the tip and it fell off instantly.

either way, i finally have it haha

ya, i was actually just using it as a temp until i increased my stats enough to use the shield.
im gonna need 60-61 endurance :'O

you ever consider using ring of favor and protection?
gives about 20 equip load with some life and stamina i believe.
only problem is you can't take it off

i really wish that ring didnt break when u took it off
i was hoping pinwheel would drop the equip load helm, instead i got the stamina regen one.
its still nice though, especially for fights when u wont have alot of time to put ur shield down.

do u know how much equip load and stamina that mask of the father or w/e gives?

the wiki site for dark souls doesnt have much info on items, nothing like the demons souls wiki.

i believe it gives about 15 equip burden.
if you finish nito and decide not to kill patches you can purchase the 3 masks from him in firelink later.
i personally use the mask of mother, gives 15% life bonus.

or if not, you can farm the pinwheel guys in the cave before nito

awesome, both of those sound fine.

ill prolly end up using all of them, each one has a good quality for certain areas and encounters.
does the tiny beings ring give 5%?

Deciding claymore vs man-serpent greatsword for upgrading

I'd like to do both tbh. How hard is it to farm titanite chunks?

chunks are easy to farm.
equip the gold serpant ring u get from sens fortress and either go to:

low londo ruins and farm the darkwraiths, they also have a very rare chance of dropping titanite slabs.
the two giants in the cathedral room right before the boss fight in anor londo.
the clams at ash lake. woops, clams drop twinkling titanite, my bad

i personally prefer new londo ruins, u get a fair drop rate for chunks aswell as a chance for a titanite slab or two.
i usually get at least 1-2 chunks when doing new londo ruins, as long as ur strong enough to quickly kill each one.

i upgraded a +15 man-serpent greatsword, and its not that great really, ill use it as my enchanting weapon, but the bk great axe is a lot better as a str weapon (with the str i have ofc)
i also feel like it has a smaller range than the claymore, even if both have a similar move set (i think the only difference is the strong attack 1h and 2h (which are both better on the claymore imo)


so id say, if you're going for scaling+enchanting go for man-serpent greatsword or black knight great axe (or any black knight weapons really)

if its for lightning/fire upgrade, go for claymore
