can someone explain weapon scaling? what do the letters represent, if it's D for str and C for dex does that mean str scales less than dex? and would a weapon with a scaling of B be better than one with both D and C?
weapon scaling is pretty simple.
so a dex scale wep would pretty much mean it's damage is base + whatever your dex is.
so a D scale would obviously be lower grade than a B scale, and so on and so forth, so if you were to go with a dex build (high dex) you would want a high grade dex scaling weapon so it gets more +bonus dmg.
so a split scaling would mean it gets bonuses from both str and dex, where D for str means it gets less for str, and more for dex, since it's a C.
but lets say you have double str to dex, it'll probably do more with the D grade str due to the fact that you have so much more str, but they both contribute to the weapons bonus, it's just that the higher grade contributes more.
and one with B would be superior to one with D and C if the stat for B was also higher, if it's like B for faith and you have 10 faith vs 40 str and 30 dex, it would do less but if they were for example 30 faith vs 30str + 30 dex, i'm not too sure, but you should get the general idea now lol
