question about hero armor

if i finish all the double kills for helmets on each specialist, but havent finish all the bodies, can i start unlocking hero for the helmets? or do i have to actually do everything?

I don't care for supply drops either, so it's even worse that they put fucking weapons in there. What's next, perks and scorestreaks? Maybe a specialist character? Whoever is willing to pay more, gets more. Thats not right
