Grand Theft Auto V is reportedly listed with an Autumn 2012 release window.

Rockstar Games co-founder and the co-writer of Grand Theft Auto V, Dan Houser has revealed that Grand Theft Auto V will let players use the same 'crews' they establish and build in Max Payne 3's multiplayer, thanks to Social Club integration.

I think Social Club is ruining their games.

\ According to Joystiq, Alex O'Dwyer, an employee for Rockstar North over in Scotland, updated his LinkedIn page and his CV, pointing out that the long-awaited open world, bad-mouthed adventure game could be coming in October.

This is all speculation, but O'Dwyer's CV has been pulled so maybe there's more truth to this than we thought? If so, October could be an amazing month for gamers, with the release of GTA5, BioShock Infinite, and Assassin's Creed 3.

We've reached out to Rockstar for a comment, but I doubt they're going to say anything other than, "We don't comment on rumors and speculation." Darn it!

I've read that they said it is very unlikely that it will be released in 2012.

Reports of GTA V for an autumn 2012 launch surfaced following a 2012 release list from a major UK retailer in March 2012. However, Sterne Agee analyst Arvind Bhatia stated that GTA V is "likely to launch" in early 2013, which he feels will be beneficial in a number of ways: it will launch in a less crowded window away from the next instalments of Call of Duty and Assassin's Creed; it will provide Rockstar with time for extra polishing; and it will also give the firm a "potential" window to launch the game on the Wii U. Similarly, GameStop president Tony Bartel wasn't expecting GTA V to launch in 2012 either.
