Make sure that its not lodged in one of the positions holding down a button. But yeah firmware

Nope there are no "buttons" on the shifter, and it being in any gear shouldn't affect anything. I think I'll try and google the problem or just send it in and get a new one. I wonder if having it in first or second slot USB affects it??? like giving it power over the other since one is a first the other is a second? probably not eh?

do you find the wheel easier in GT?

At first it's definitely not easier. Yesterday I was doing worse than today. and still i think I'm better with controller than a wheel, but people say over time you become much much faster with the wheel .

all I need is practice. This new T500 Rs is a whole new animal when comparing to my old Logitech G25, so it's a whole another getting used to

It does seem like it would keep my attention longer on a racing game.... I usually cant last longer than a week playing either GT or forza....

and it just happens that those are the best two racing games out on console
you just need to get used to it, that's it. wheel and controller are two totally different things. if you played majority of a racing game with a controller, you might as well restart your career and do all the races with a wheel because of how different it is.
I know when I first got my G25 I pretty much went through everything and tried out different cars all the time just so I can see the difference between them

but I think I just got unlucky that my rig just so happened to have been done the same week as the last of us came out... now I spend more time on GT5 than I do on last of us.. I havent even played last of us at all today lol

Looks like I needed to calibrate it.. gears 3/5 and 5/7 were tripping because it comes fucked up right outside of the box lol. lets hope it works


and I update the firmware of the wheel too, so I should be GG.

Well I got it working now, it works flawlessly. I even modified it to where I don't have to have the shifter ALL the way down for it to shift, as soon as it's about a quarter into a gear it will start shifting
but my eyes are half way open right now, really gotta get some sleep.
