I've started dragnons at being level 19, went on a quite huge rampage through orlais and ferelden

Who's running mage class? Not really sure what spells to use? Right now I'm using variety of fire, ice, lightning and the barrier. I've heard knight enchanter is good later on? I am currently level 8 doing side quests in hinterlands

I can tell you that knight enchanter is very fun and quite original.
You can combine long range spells with magical meele attacks

Yeah that's what I read sounds very cool. I am taking my time with the game so haven't done much of the story line yet just been roaming around doing quests. Is there a certain spell that is good with the starting skills? The only green one I've used is barrier and it seems like fire does the most damage so far

Knight enchanter is broken and kinda overpowered
Can solo with it in nightmare but it's still a cool build

I am running two mages - each of them has atleast one point in barrier, with some clever tactical movement, you can easily make your team unkillable

When doing side areas, try not to overlevel for main missions, I was lvl 19 in a 12-15 main quest D:

Did it nerf the exp or was just so easy that you rofl Facepalm?

It was extremely easy and I think exp is also reduced a lot D:
