so at some point I attacked a companion by mistake and now I have the glitch that makes it so falkas talks to you incessantly it's annoying so I can't do the second companion quest because he talks to me instead of fighting lol so I get killed lol

The companion questline is buggy as fuck.  Out of everyone I know, 2 people actually could finish it.
