I never had an issue with the slowdown in Blighttown for whatever reason, perhaps I should just consider myself fortunate and that my experiences down there are baseless because maybe other people lagged? Idk...Toxic state is imo really hard to get hit with....the blow gun guys die easily, don't respawn, and need to hit you twice before you're toxified....I could see alot of busted controllers, TVs, and lawsuits against From Software if it had been a 1 hit effect, lol. Regardless...the darts are blockable, shit is easy. And the poison at the bottom is essentially nulled if you had picked up the Black Leather armor set on the way down before getting to the Capra Demon.

so, u dont get any lag or drop in fps when ur on the wooden walkways high above the swamp areas?

its mostly down in the swamp cause so many monsters are moving at once that the game cant handle it

Only when I go deep into the swamp area where all of those slugs are do I see some slowdown...The only HUGE fps drop I've encountered in this game is when climbing that shortcut ladder in New Londo Ruins.

its not that blighttown is hard its just trying to get back to the depths because i am a retard and did not pick the master key so i cant open the door in vally of the drakes i feel like i just get fucked up to fast trying to get back to the depths i am using the gold hemmed suit spider shield and a battle axe lol

If you can, try locating the Eagle Shield down in Blighttown, essentially one of the best shields in the game...it's a Great Shield with very low equip burden, let's you block essentially all attacks except super heavy boss attacks without staggering you.

And I'm quite surprised you're not using the Drake Sword, but since you've gotten this far without it you should be good to go....

Yeah, this issue was addressed by From. Apparently, the monster pathing is so intense it causes a FPS drop.

if theyre from europe/asia nothing you can do about it. they will lag everywhere and they will teleport backstab you. what i did was just wait until they ran directly at me and feed a crystal soul spear to their face.

best you can do is put on the somersault ring and keep moving i guess

i have the eagle shield but i have been using the spider shield to lower the poison
