1.6 is out. Joystiq says main things were dvd playback quality, wireless headsets, and being able to mute the camera microphone.

PS4 backwards compatibility details for PS1 and PS2 potentially leaked

http://www.examiner.com/article/ps4-backwards-compatibility-details-for-ps1-and-ps2-potentially-leaked

its gaiaki
the palystation now is going to be using gaikai and stream ps1-3 games to the ps4

see
Sony Computer Entertainment previously confirmed that the PS1 and PS2 library will be available for stream through the Playstation Now service that is slated to launch this summer in North America
and nice- Unlike the PS3 emulation, however, the console manufacturer is planning to optimize the classic games in native high-definition resolutions. Doing so should eliminate the blurry up-scaling effects found on the PS3.

No that's not what that article is about. It's been talked about the last few weeks that the ps4 is able to play 1 and 2 games locally and we stream 3 with ps now. Being able to play 1 and 2 games locally would just require a patch and I've read that it would be up scaled better than the ps3 did.

did you even read it ? the whole article is about ps now saying thats how they are going to add it
both those sentences i said were from the article and look
The next-generation system came out on Nov. 15 in the United States and other regions. Due to having a different architecture, the PS4 can’t play PS3 video games right out of the box, which upset many fans who wanted backwards compatibility. However, it seems like Sony Computer Entertainment may be adding the feature back in the near future with the Playstation Plus.

meaning it would now be free
originally psnow was going to havea sub
if it comes with ps+ thats a bonus and a half becasue that means all your digi ps3 games would most likely become playable as long as you have ps+
would def help the library issue people seem to feel there is specially if its an xbox user that hasnt played ps3 exclusives would prob keep ps3 games selling a bit stretching the ps3 lifespan

Interesting. Not long ago they said it will be a different subscription.

If will now be free that will be amazing.
