Anyone know a lot about poisons?

When you apply them to a weapon do they just last for 1 hit or something?

Also anyone have some good recipes for damage potions?

one hit unless you have the perk that allows for 2 hits ;D

So with a Blacksmith potion I could re-upgrade my legendary glass sword for even greater damage, so I guess thats true.

How does one raise Alchemy faster?

And enchanting?

Best way to raise enchanting is but all the petty/lesser gems you find (Hell, if you're like me and have way too much gold buy common too, wouldn't waste greaters/grand on leveling tho) and have a weapon of your choice that soulbounds on hit for 1 sec. Then take all those and put the enchants on everything. Smith some iron daggers, gold/silver rings, or even that elven shield you found in the dungeon before you sell it. Just a side note, I'm pretty sure using a petty soulgem and a grand soulgem give the same amount of exp... And iron daggers enchanted are worth more than gold rings (after enchant) I believe. So to make more gold, using transmute wouldn't be the best idea, though it can get you some exp in the process.

Alchemy... Your exp is based on the value of the potion. So having a set of +alchemy gear from enchanting will help you level. Sometimes it's worth spending 3 ingredients to make a 800g potion rather than 4 on 2x 400g potions. Ofcorse there's a glitch so you can get 100 alchemy in like 10-15 potions, but I'm assuming you want to play legit ;) so just buy out the ingredient sales woman in Whiterim every time you're there and harvest everything you can.

So, if I follow correctly...

Use Alchemy to make Enchatnting potions.
Use those potions to Enchant Smithing and Alchemy gear.
Use Alchemy to make Smithing potions.
Use that gear and potions to Smith weapons and armor?

Yes, simple as that, except I bought my 25/50 chanting and smithing potions. At least if you're talking about legit way.

That's the reason I don't bother with poison, too much hassle with them, they should last longer imo.

Especially those that gives dmg.

Basically you get an item (or multiple to make it go faster) enchanted to give + alchemy. Make a fortify restoration potion, drink it, unequip/re-equip all the alchemy gear, and repeat. It's bugged so that'll increase the alchemy temporarily on the enchanted items. Eventually it gets to retarded values (6000% and higher) and since the exp you gain is based off the value of the potion and these potions can be valued around 2 mil +, you level 100 instantly. This is also a really cheap way to make a god set of weapons/armor (ie. make enchanting and smithing potions with your +insaneamount% alchemy gear, then put a +500k health enchant on your 600k armor'd leather chest)
