I'd have to probably re-read the recording article that was done earlier to get a refresher, but if I remember you will be able to let your friends see in real time what you are playing like a twitchtv.

But do you have to? I don't care if you can see what I play all time. Maybe once in a while if I'm looking to help.

What doom said about recording being mandatory is news to me. From what i've gathered you can record and share and not be mandatory.

In other words, try before you buy, and forget about waiting for downloads. It's not quite the game streaming announcement we expected, but Sony certainly seems to be putting the technology to good use.

I had linked my PS3 to my Facebook not knowing what it did. It post's to your wall trophies you get, which for me at the time was like 10x posts a day. I got a text from my friend saying STFU.

i cant find any other info about recording is mandatory

maybe it records it automatically so all you have to do is upload it youtube etc.
