Ok, I'll try an explanation now, although my English is really very modest....
I understand what you mean, but I personally just put other things in the foreground or have different views on what is good and what is bad in a game.
First and foremost for me is always the gameplay combined with the highest possible difficulty, discovering new things, a varied enemy design and the atmosphere.
The graphics play a subordinate role.
And just the fact that Elden Ring doesn't take you by the hand and leaves a lot in the dark is a positive challenge for me and makes it more appealing than games that tell you everything. I want to unravel things myself and not have the game unravel them. I just need that challenge.
All of that makes Elden Ring unique to me and not so ordinary.
There are just a lot of other game series that are similar to Horizon. For me, those games are too casual and that's why I lose interest very often and very quickly. Assasins Creed, for example, is also one of those kinds of games.
So I think we have different preferences, but I think there are still a lot of gamers like me.
I am sorry if I have expressed myself badly in some places.
Agreed personaly i always skip stories on games
I played dying light 2 but gave up on following the story after a few hours...
So the fact that theres no story in elden ring doesnt change my opinion of the game
What i like is trying new build trying new paths so elden ring sound perfect for that
