Seems like a lot of people do this. I'll never fucking understand it, but I guess people would rather watch an internet personality play a game first rather than chancing it and just buying and playing a game themselves.

I usually watch someone play for like 10 minutes to get a small feel for what the mechanics will be like but ya never an entire game that just would seem like it ruins it to me

Let me try explaining it like this. Would you watch a 20 minute summary of a movie that you're interested in that just goes through all the major plot points, but leaves out all the context and character/story development that gets it to those points? Probably not, because it would detract from the entertainment value the movie would have had, had you decided to just watch the damn movie. A game is the exact same thing. Just play a game or don't lol. If this is how you go about playing games fine, but you should try just actually playing them, since I'm 100% positive you're detracting from the overall experience you could have if you just went into something blind.

Beat most things. Have 9 ravens to find, sigrun to kill, 2/3 muspellheim keys, and the 3 tears in niflheim.

How the fuck do you get the anchor of fog or whatever the other necessary component is that’s you need to open the realm tears?

So, you killed all the valks then? IN Nifleheim, when you're wandering around collecting mists and w/e, you get an anchor from going through and going into the back and usually fighting a boss. Either it'll be an ogre or two, one of those dark elf bosses, or I think there's one or two other spawns it can be. Anyways, journey to the middle of the maze, go back to where the valk was, kill what's there, open the chests and get the anchor.

The best way to get anchors though, is just to do a 100% clear run. Start in the middle, go through each and every single area killing everything, collecting everything, and you'll get an anchor if you succeed, and usually 10k+ mists. If you're having trouble doing this, buy the mist gear, it's the best gear in the game anyways. 100% clear runs weren't too bad when I played the first time, but on GoW mode they were a bitch. Just a couple different spawns that straight wrecked me or they just took too fucking long. None of the tears in there are all that rough though, so getting the anchors took me longer than beating those lol.

Serious though, use that gear if you're not, upgrade it and you're set. Valk gear or musphlheim gear can get as high of lvl, but mist gear is the coolest looking by far imo, and fastest (most fun too imo) to grind to max.


e: After you get key #3, you gotta go back up top and do another trial. So far, I've done it like 4 times and 3 times it was no fucking problem. Even on GoW mode I got gold with ease because you just have to kill 50 enemies before the timer runs out. It's random though, and the other one that popped for me was a no damage one. I got bronze on that one and had to grind 3 fucking keys again, I was livid.

YEAH I have all the niflheim gear equipped. I’m level 8 and a pinch away from 9, just not finding the anchors. My first playthrough and only playthrough has been on god of war mode and it was really rough to start.

You using the 3 socket Talisman? That's how I hit 9. 9 1/2 is the highest you can get fyi, so don't bother pushing higher after 9. I did a normal (well to start, bumped it up to hard pretty early on because I wanted it a bit harder) 100% playthrough, and then I went back through on GoW mode and destroyed it. Only thing I haven't done is Sigrun. she's such a fucking cunt lol. It's just such a long fucking fight and one mistake and it's rage. I got her down to about 1/10 twice in a row when I tried, and then I was getting tired and couldn't get her down to half health the last 3-4 times I tried. Just called it and haven't fucked with it again. I killed her on hard already, which is making my drive to do it less then I'd like for GoW mode, but I'll go do it eventually. Also, it's hard as fuck getting the third key huh? I got 2 no problem, but I keep just barely fucking losing on the time trial ones, and the no damage one I've gotten down to the last area twice and gotten hit by some bullshit attack and raged lol. The no damage shit is so god damn frustrating.

I bet we're at the exact same point in GoW mode though lol (besides me having finished Niflheim completely). Guaranteed our gear and shit is identical based on what you're saying. Just clear half the map, if you don't find it, leave, come back, clear half, leave, rinse and repeat until you get all 3. That's what I did anyways.
