any specific reason you want the consoles for, since you're coming from PC?

and there can be more than just exclusives to aware of, as games like say Skyrim are far more limited mod wise on PS4 than on the XBone (although even that is quite limited compared to PC)

xbox also offers most of its exclusives to pc and hes a pc gamer and a lot of people really love uncharted and tlou multiplayer maybe its just not your cup of tea
xbox servers seem to not be the target of ddos as often as psn which is strange because when both were targeted they were both brought down pretty easily
the ps3 got jailbroken through linux and cc info was potentially at risk i dont think there was any actually taken but sony covered anything if there was
they removed ps3 linux remade psn and ps4 doesnt have it so that isnt likely to happen again

and thats the worst generalization ever i own zero fighter games on ps4 and love my ps4 lol
does ps4 even have an exclusive fighter game? maybe tekken?is mortal kombat exclusive and is there even one on ps4? idk

You are correct about Xbox games being offered on pc. But they are offering a new system that lets you get a free copy for pc or Xbox depending on what platform you buy it on. Which is even more of a plus for him so he can have the option to play games on pc or x1 without having to buy multiple copies. Games like gears lets you play with pc players in things like horde (which is life waves of enemies) or campaign but not in pvp since it wouldn't be fair.
Uncharted 4 and tlou multiplayer was fun and I never said it wasn't I said they were not competitive. I have played both alot and got every trophy for uncharted 4 and close on the last of us and I really only hunt trophies or achievements on games I thoroughly enjoy.
I mentioned the fighting games because I think that street fighter is the only competitive exclusive they have to offer. I didn't say fighting games is all they have to offer.
I really think both consoles are great and both offer a good amount of features.

This is literally the only thing that matters.

I also own both, and they're pretty much the same. Xbox is great because I love Halo, and PS is great because I've got a few IRL buddies who prefer PS to Xbox.
