Maybe I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure X1S doesn't play games in 4k
You don't just put in a bluray based game and get 4k quality

its gonna upscale forza and gears 4, but nothing else as far as i know

I'm seeing mixed things on that. Xbox is marketing as having 4k and some sites are saying 4k gaming while others don't. Based on everything going on it appears the Xbox One Slim is slightly less powerful then the Pro and better then the PlayStation 4 slim.

The majority of insiders are posting saying they aren't impressed with the Pro and see no reason to upgrade at this point,which is a shame.

if microsoft is saying "4k" that could be 30 fps upscsaled 4k

if its not native 4k its not that big of a deal imo for either console
besides i dont even have a 4k tv idgaf lol

Ya its not native 4k its just upscaled. Which like you said unless you have a 4k tv which is a minority at this point then its not worth getting either console. Which is why I think its a waste for them to put the pro out this year. My guess is they didn't wanna get buried by the Scorpio last year in terms of which is better hardware. Doesn't mean Scorpio would outsell it though

The Xbox One to Xbox One Slim is a slight upgrade,the Scorpio is supposed to be a huge upgrade that is comparable to being a next gen upgrade without being next gen.

The playstation 4 to the playstation 4 Pro is a slight upgrade similar to the Xbox One to the Xbox One Slim. Two different strategies by the companies. Not sure which one will be the better strategy in the long run.

I did enjoy how they said you can "enjoy the amazing Sony lineup of The Last Guardian,Call of Duty and Watchdogs 2". They cant even say they have an amazing games lineup this holiday anymore without including third party

we are gonna see, look at the ps3 uphill battle it had being more powerful and a year late to market, i dont think these are really meant for mass market

Companies don't make this big of an investment on hardware without it being for the mass market. The PS3's uphill battle was because they WAY overpriced it,not because they were more powerful or came out later. If Microsoft was smart they see this release,see its $399 and then put out the Scorpio at 350-400 next fall. If they release it with a $5-600 price tag then its a big mistake on their part. They are doing things the right way with the Slim this year followed by Scorpio. The Slim gave the console a boost before the big new release next year.

i was never huge on this whole upgrade idea anyways, seems more pc social rejectish too me
