honestly a vacums the worse option. any lose parts can be sucked up then your fucked and it could actually become a fire hazard.
your best bet is to send it in, im sure sony works like microsoft. i sent in my 360 twice red ring and the fan loud. if its a hardware issue then its the companys fault. good luck
if nothing else go with canned air but be super careful where you spray it, dont directly aim it at the peaces instead aim it at the sides so it bounces off you can blow shit apart.
pretty sure sonys recommended way to clean in the manual is a low powered vaccum sucking dust through the vents
atleast it was for ps3 and likely is for ps4 too since compressed air just blows more dust inside where as a vaccun asucks it out where its most likely to gather
hell the ps3 also had some super fan thing that i tested once and holy fuck it shot like so much dust out the back ...wonder if ps4 has that
lots of theories on why or what that was but it worked crazy good at getting rid of dust lmao
