To make a console that was 4k compatable when the ps4 launched would cost consumers a solid $1000, would never fly in a million years
now it's still going to be expensive as fuck even with a new gpu series launching this year, which makes me question these wack rumours
also considering how well the ps4 is doing, they would never release a totally new console that would alienate their 32+ some odd customers.
if they did release a newer, faster ps4, the devs would probably have to make their games based around the ps4 and ps4.5 architype to allow their games to work on both consoles, ps4 at 1080 and ps4.5 at 4k. Would be a lot more work for devs so I just don't see it happening.
