The game is in closed alpha. Of course its going to cost money to play. They also give you 100% of everything in the game. Forever. The only thing you spend $ on is skins and xp boosts.

They took a combination of the best parts of LoL + DotA 2 + HotS. The game is awesome. And the fact you can purchase the game on Ps4 / PC / Xbox and play it across all consoles is awesome. Bought it on PC, playing it on PS4. If I go back and play it on PC all my progress will be there.
