Play Last Of Us if you haven't already

ya and gta, those are my favorite rpgs

Neither of those is technically an rpg. But if he's just looking for something non fps he can't go wrong with either.

gauntlet remake was free for ps+ if u had it idk if they chaned games yet


dragon age is a pause and play strat rpg type game on harder diffs if you put it on easy u can just play with out pausing and wreck everything

e: they did change the games already so no gauntlet anymore
however if u have a ps3 dragon age origins the old one is free i thought it was pretty good im dl it on my ps3 ^^

Tlou is definitely an rpg.

(Great) story + upgradable character attributes (well weapon upgrades but it still counts) + a quest to complete equals rpg.

Either way, if op doesn't have ps3 or didn't play it on ps3 he needs to pick it up on ps4. It is a 10/10 and one of my top two games of last generation.

tlou is classified as Action-Adv, Survival Horror. It may have Rpg elements as do many games these days including sports games. That doesn't make it an Rpg.

Would be the same as saying Bioshock/Infinite are Rpgs. Yes they have upgrades, but no they are not Rpgs

go ahead can call nhl 16 and call of duty rpgs if those are your criteria

Except they are rpgs, a lot of games that are rpgs don't get the rpg tag on wikipedia (which I assume is where you copy/pasted that line from), or other sources, because if you listed every genre+subgenre a game fits in you would have a full page of listings per game these days.

would you consider assassin's creed a role playing game? it is under the criteria that you used to define the last of us as a role playing game.
