Reformatting on ps3 wont do anything to my ps4 account either right?

no it shouldnt ... thats all saved on the psn not ps3
reformatting just wipes the hd

Hold down the power button on the PS3 until it beeps and continue to hold it until it beeps again then let go and it'll bring you to the programmers menu and then you can fully restore/wipe your hard drive
