I bought a ps4, because I got sick of my digital habits via steam. I have a digital pc library of over 4k retail value, 99% of the games I no longer play or ever intend to play again.. I can't trade them in, I can't resell them, they are just bound to my account and that's that. If a game has a digital AND disc version, I will opt for the disc version every time considering the ability to sell/trade it later. You will need a stack of games you no longer play to trade in when that xbox 9001 or ps7 comes out, otherwise your going to be paying an arm and a leg.

i save like $20 when i buy digital and really thats about what id get for most games if i was to sell/trade in if its not within the 1st few weeks of launch
only issue is harddrive space... with eso and witcher 3 digital my hd is pretty full..specially with games releasing all the dlc shit as patches taking up mad space for shit i dont own

i buymostly digital because well

i baught halo master cheif collection as a disk. well there are no scratches on the disk and i can barely get the xb1 to even read the disk there are no scratches yet it wont work. and my xb1 reads everyother disk

im going to probably get a 2 tb harddrive are there any downfalls to getting a external harddrive? 2tb minimum

I'm a stickler for wanting discs, even though I haven't sold a game practically since I owned a ps2

I thought digital and physical took up the same space

i used to like building up my physical library, but ever since i bought my ps4, i've only bought digital. just more convenient

I buy all my games physical because I know one day im gonna have everything in a box or something might happen to my ps4
or I might not even remember my password I do it for the fact that if I always take care of my shit it will always be there
espically since im going to the army I probably will give away my ps4 to some unfortunate family members I have but not my games aha

Generaly i prefer physical

But since i get psn cards 50% off and i am gamesharing with my cousin, i pay 25% only for digital versions.

Pretty exclusively physical unless there is a decent sale on digital. You are paying the same amount for less material. The convenience of not having to wait or go to a store may be for some people, but i don't hate driving and i prefer to have physical media for my collections as i like the cases/manuals and sometimes artbooks.
