Ha. Ya, I remember I had a buddy on my friends list in COD with a 4.5 k/d but he only averaged 5 kills a game. He would also rage quit if he died twice in a row, I use to love letting people by on purpose to his camp spots so he'd die lol.
I just thought it was kind of a strange thing to brag about. I'm sure OP is decent, and I'm sure he's got a solid group of guys to play with. I just thought it was kind of funny that he'd try to brag about his stats when they're so vanilla.
Imo, kd and combat rating, or any metric, is just a starting point. To me, it's just a hint at if the player is one that you would like to play with (better stats equal better chance that he or she will be reliable in watching a flank, can carry his or her own weight, win gun fights, etc etc), but the overall stats may be misleading (covers long spans of time which may not accurately portray a player's current "skill"). So a better stat that I look at are the monthly ones (there's one for kd and wl on dtracker, idk if there's one for spg or cr). Even still, it's generally better to actually play with the person and formulate ur opinion based on his actions rather than solely relyibg on stats. Additionally, I had a dude on my friends list who was great at the game, but he complains way too much and simply took everythibg way too seriously, so I dont play with him and decided to simply delete him (why keep someone on ur friebds list if their attitude is so negative lol)
