I think his trials stats (kd, spg, wl) is resoectable. U cant look at overall spg, which is easily distorted by the game type u play

Combat rating is usually a good stat to go off imo. I'm not saying he's bad but 90th percentile with such a low k/d is incredibly low, even if he only plays trials. It indicates that he has a team of superior players with him who engage and then he finishes what they started. There's nothing wrong with this playstyle but I don't think you should be bashing other people or bragging about your stats if you rely on teammates being good, more so than than you do on yourself.

Yes I do agree that combat rating is often times a better measuring stick as opposed to just looking at kd (saw a dude with 4 kd but 50 conbat rating) even though I have no idea exactly wut goes into calculating the stat (my guess is a combination of kills, deaths, assists, wl, and speed of ur games etc etc), but I usualky look at combat rating in individual playlists rather than the overall one associated with a single character in a profile. People prefer different playlists and might do better in one than another

Ha. Ya, I remember I had a buddy on my friends list in COD with a 4.5 k/d but he only averaged 5 kills a game. He would also rage quit if he died twice in a row, I use to love letting people by on purpose to his camp spots so he'd die lol.

I just thought it was kind of a strange thing to brag about. I'm sure OP is decent, and I'm sure he's got a solid group of guys to play with. I just thought it was kind of funny that he'd try to brag about his stats when they're so vanilla.

Imo, kd and combat rating, or any metric, is just a starting point. To me, it's just a hint at if the player is one that you would like to play with (better stats equal better chance that he or she will be reliable in watching a flank, can carry his or her own weight, win gun fights, etc etc), but the overall stats may be misleading (covers long spans of time which may not accurately portray a player's current "skill"). So a better stat that I look at are the monthly ones (there's one for kd and wl on dtracker, idk if there's one for spg or cr). Even still, it's generally better to actually play with the person and formulate ur opinion based on his actions rather than solely relyibg on stats. Additionally, I had a dude on my friends list who was great at the game, but he complains way too much and simply took everythibg way too seriously, so I dont play with him and decided to simply delete him (why keep someone on ur friebds list if their attitude is so negative lol)

First off, I stream and take challenges (No Land Beyond, Fourth Horseman, ect. ect.) I only care about my trials score. Destiny only has one truly competitive platform for PVP and that is Trials. Why am I going to take regular Crucible seriously when there are people rolling around level 20 with Rare Snipers that one shot w/o final round anywhere in the body? On a game with terrible lag and latency issues even in Trials the connections are typically garbage. Lastly when I play Trials I play to win, I could LITERALLY careless if I have 0 kills in a round/game if say..i get a revive that helps win the round/game. I play with kids that have 2.5+ K/D's with universally impressive stats that like having me on the team because I am selfless i.e. blade dance KNOWING the titan is gonna fist of panic so that my team can then use their bladedancer to win the round/game. But as I said before Haters gonna hate.

Good PVP players know LFG is a needle in a haystack for good players. However a JSP clan could start putting good PVP players together for Trials/Crucible/Iron Banner ect hopefully making it easier for those that are LFG, but dont want to deal with the trolls on Deestinylfg.net

Any Interest?

By the way, Clan/Guild synonymous.

It'd be easier just to ask people if they'd like to play with you on the forums, or adding people that have given their tag to the masses. Whether or not you want to play with them is up to you. For me personally I have a lot of m8's who just aren't good at crucible that I play with, but they're fun to talk to, and are fun to hang out with. My competitive days are behind me.

You're a funny guy. Yes, having a high score/kills per game and a decent combat rating means I do nothing but camp. I've played a total of two days since the Crota expansion and I'm still waiting for the HC nerfs before I bother coming back. Yes, I played control, when it was between that or TDM lol and then I played Skirmish when that got released and then I stopped playing.

Cross console fun would be cool if possible. You're pretty cocky for a guy who just admitted that he gets carried by his team in a support role.

The arrogance is outrageous. I never said you were bad, I just said you shouldn't brag about your stats because they're not impressive and it's fairly obvious that you get carried by superior players. There's nothing wrong with being the support role but you're that role for a reason and it's not because you can slay as well as them, it's because you can't. No need to be a dick about it. Good luck with your clan and good luck with Destiny.
