he used to come here saying his ps3 caught fire

I'm not an "xb fanboy". Want a proof? Xbox is horrible piece of shit. Happy now? I'm just not denying the facts with these "next gen" consoles.

I'm probably just gonna play casually for a while I'm sure I won't be to end game with dark aeons and stuff for a while do you think the game is worth playing for the moment? Hoping the patch will be released by the time I would get to the end

I was actually thinking of doing a runthrough with the supposedly busted RNG.

I think that the extra chaos would be fantastic.

there is a patch coming..

i am about to plat the game and didnt realize the rng was "broken" until somebody pointed it out to me. its broken in the sense that it does not reseed itself as often as it should leaving the encounters to be somewhat predictable. it is a problem only for when you are trying to capture all of the monsters for the arena. even then you can reseed the rng by just casting cure in battle, or leaving the area and returning. was not hard to overcome and mostly i didnt notice. the only other thing that is wrong is that music restarts after every battle which again i didnt notice until it was pointed out to me.

fun game

So casting any cure resets rng?

It's the same ffx that has existed for a decade. I'm not sure why you're asking people of its worth playing. There is no non "casual" form of ffx. It's one of the easiest games square has ever created.

You obviously missed the entire point of this post. I asked if it was worth playing with the broken rng, again kids need to learn how to read before posting worthless replies.

You might be the maddest tough guy I've seen on here in about a year. Hardcore 1 player action ftw. You probably thought D2 rng was broken back in the day too xD

Peace bro lmao.

yea the way it works is when you enter an area the "seed" is set for the probability of monster encounters. you can get a balanced seed where you are pretty likely to find any monster (provided you are looking in the right area of the map for them). whats broken about this system and needs patching is if you leave the area or save and reset it, you get the same "seed" so if you have a low probability of finding a monster then you will still be hard pressed to find them. casting cure in battle supposedly just reseeds the RNG so the probabilities can change. like i said i am playing the remastered version and was able to find 10 of every monster in the end game. i did not even notice the rng problem playing the story but looked it up when i started having trouble. somebody recommended casting cure in battle and i am not sure if it is a placebo effect or not but sure enough it works.

for example in the omega dungeon the probability of finding the combination of monsters "zaurus and mimic" is very high. this actually works to your advantage at first because mimics are great for farming money. however you soon notice that finding other types of monsters are really rare. cast cure, then repeat process until you start finding the other monsters. the rarest one for example is master tonberry but i was able to get a seed where they spawned fairly frequently compared to the endless mimics i was getting to start. this is how the rng works in ffx and why it is "broken" although it will not stop you from completing the game or having fun.

Why would I think d2 rng was broken..? It's a pretty widespread known fact that the rng is broken in this game you can google it, look up youtube videos, hell most reviews of the game state it and SE has said their developing a patch for it. Again I fail to see the point of your post.
