or spend $3 and buy it!

sf4 still going at tournaments and has more viewers/players than mkx worldwide
not to mention it was released long before even mk9

the problem with nrs and mk is that they keep completely changing their core gameplay which forces their fans to relearn the game completely after each installment
this also prevents them from having time to really balance the game

games like street fighter, tekken, guilty gear, soul caliber, etc still carry some of the core gameplay since their first game with adjustments overtime and a new mechanic here and there
the moves are balanced with age

Sf will never be a mk killer

Sure those are some really awesome things

But what it's really trying to say is when sf comes out it will only be 1/2 complete.
For that we will add more chars for free until it finally complete

While sure you can say that it'll be 1/2 complete when it releases, as long as they are offering more content for free constantly and available to everyone at the same time, that only adds more to replay value

You want to compare that to NRS's idea?
Releasing characters only to people who will put out the money for it? Without giving people that don't pay for it access to practice against those characters?
Even if the characters to some of you are "a measly $10", that in itself is pay-2-win
Which is COMPLETELY unacceptable for a game that is trying to set itself in the fighting game competition

This is even agreed with the highest tier players in that community(TestYourMight)
While they are fanboys and will stick to the game, they admit that what NRS did is unacceptable for a fighting game

Neither is MK a SF killer

Theyre both different games and have their own fan base

BUT SF5 indeed will be a huge release and "bigger" than mkx

my opinion as for the character releases for both games is still the same
