I don't really believe they did anything. Dealing with a ddos is not something you can do from a computer, you need to be at the server, so what could anon possibly do unless they are running a Microsoft server.
Also, a ddos attack is not new. What needs to be done to bring the servers back up is not unknown. Microsoft/Sony weren't waiting for someone to come tell them that what to do.
I have no idea if Anon did this. But a thought is to limit the attackers bandwidth. Allows for less attacks. But either way, Microsoft has a stronger backing in this department. Which makes complete sense. Regardless, I don't really care if they do or don't, I just want PSN to work so I can play my games.
Please don't turn this into a flame war between Microsoft and Sony and just report if anyone gets on.
As to those who aren't having issues, I was playing a couple hours ago but then I turned off my ps4 and tried to get back on later and had no luck. I haven't tried in like 30 minutes bu that's also because I've given up on it. I hope it's back up tomorrow.

so becasue your a computer engineer that has no idea what or how the psn or xbl servers are made you know that anon cant do anything to help
do you hack? have any hacking experience or do you just plug shit in as an engineer
and yeah its just a story... like the one when they ddosed the psn and took it down or all those other places they hacked that was just fake they never hacked anything
DDoS isn't a hack is the thing... I understand ROM's side, but yes, there are ways to prevent DDoS. Either way, I don't get the point of talking about the xmas hack when it has, most likely, nothing to do with what is going on.
