also the ps3 manual says to clean the ps3 use a weak vaccum(or one on low settings) and suck out the from side and back vents
if your curious

however i did this and heard something pretty solid so down the tube and it freaked me out... ps3 worked fine still to this day but never did it again ahgaha

My PS3 is 6 years old, hauled it across the country, never did anything to it and it stiill works perfect.

i got the last fat version before the slims came out so mines pretty old lol
ive only did the super fast fan thing and 1x vaccum and it works good
although the other day i went to put my gladiator blueray in and it seemed like it had a lil bit of trouble getting it in o.O which is weird it worked fine before and i havnt even been using the BR drive

So I have owned this PS3 slim for about 3-4 years now, and not once have I ever flipped it over. I only thought there was a vent in the back, but to my surprise it was literally all around the underneath as well. Dust was blocking every hole.

Used a vacuum and she is quiet as a mouse.

Mine did as well

Just vacuum the dust from all the vents, back and underneath, and it will be fine

It's ok to do once or twice but I was trying to convey that it's not good to rely on it as your only cleaning method
