While I like it for gaming (don't care about my gaming sound as much as I do music) it's not a good all around headset. 7.1 is overrated when you can buy a good standard headphone for around the same price. Honestly a mixamp + ath-m50 is a better setup then you can use the cans for music and have a decent setup there too.

But the golds are not bad for gaming purposes. I couldn't speak to their quality in terms of cod or bf because I've stopped playing both years ago for cod and a year ago for bf

i used astro a50s and for gaming which is what i assume u want for are really nice but they are overrated.

used a50s at least a year and a half i recently got the turtle beach stealth 500s and im not a big turtle beach fan but these are really nice headsets imo

I used atm the Turtle Beach PX21s but they ain't as good anymore. I will look up about the 500s see what they are like.

dont buy gaming headsets they suck. instead buy a solo mic with good stereo speakers. use this mixamp ore use a hd receiver for the input

i prefer the akg701 for gaming , they have a clear sound you can hear every step from your opponents. costs are high but you only have too but it once.
