Do you say that because the sides are open whereas the PS4 seems like it is forcing air through the back?

The Xbox One is gutted and has a huge fan while the PlayStation 4 is compacted with plastics and has a condensed fan. Not to mention the Xbox One has an external power source.

That's why I have this

Size isn't the only factor though.
Just playing devils advocate because like I said no one here can answer definitevly.
The One can have a bigger fan and run 10 degrees hotter whereas the smaller fan in a PS4 has better air flow and runs cooler.

I've heard my ps4 spin up a little loudly when playing something heavy on processing power but at no point was it hot.

I'd hit it.

it gets warm.. my ps3 runs hotter tbh
aint worried though my fat ps3 is on all day n night still goin strong... and sony isnt the company that had overheating issues
