I disagree on point 2 but you can decide for yourself I suppose. I already posted why you want to stick with the same rpm. But there are people who swear by their 7200 or ssd in their ps3.

I heard faster drives will tend to overheat and really only give a couple milliseconds faster reaction time

Ordered both off amazon, took 3 minutes to install the hardware and I was good to go. Nothing to worry about at all.
