That would make sense for most games. I was thinking you could log onto your account when playing couch co-op games etc.

any (most?) games on buddys account can be accessed as long as a seperate user account is on your system with his PSN on the alt user account

games downloaded from your friends account will be playable unless one of you deactivates

limited to 2 consoles and 1 vita after some update



no idea if it works on ps4 but id assume yes since its going through the PSN

It works on the PS4. There's just an extra step to it. I've been gamesharing since launch day on the PS4 and helped a few others set it up for themselves.

As far as I can tell, it 'just works' if your accounts are on the same system.

So far from what I personally experienced not all PS4's can gameshare
There's an option where you choose which PS4 will be the "Main" console when sharing
Only the console set as "Main" can gameshare
So if my friend has his own console set as main and then comes downloads his games onto my console, I won't be able to play or use his DLC with my account
But if I go to his "Main" console and log into my account, I can use/play all his DLC/Games

This is what I experienced so far but you guys make it sound like it doesn't matter if the console is set to main or not so I could just have 2 defected models

That's half right. The main console can play the games on any account. The other console can only play on their main (the ones you buy the games on). So in the end both parties can play the games on their main accounts if that makes sense.
