Would never be jealous of someone spending that much money on a niche item. Jealousy is a feeling not an instinct. Not everyone gets jealous just because some guy online has something that is better than what they have.

A "gaming" laptop is a niche item; a laptop is not. You're spending 1600 dollars on something custom built with inferior parts to do a specific job that is essentially unneeded beyond specialized marketing.

Literally saying, "I can't afford the tickets too FanEx and Dark Souls 2 for PC, so I have to choose one." makes people assume you mean you can't actually afford both.
