The main missions and cutscene are awesome, but imo there is not enough things to do in the free world. Like 10 cars, all you can do is police poursuit.
And yeah the sides missions are not very fun. Or just too easy. When i need to stop a crime, its fun but, its too easy... The criminal isnt even running, he is jogging so it takes 2 seconds to catch him. And the fixer contract are kinda stupid.
But the online is awesome too. It just takes 0 minutes to find a game.
So the game is good, easy to plat, but many people, including me, thought it would be a bit more like GTA., with tons of things to do even when not in missions, but its more like saints row. Unrealistic.
I doesnt regret my gold edition, there will be alot of DLC coming out, and even if i finish the game, every missions and sides missions and collectible, i enjoy the multiplayer. Not like in assassins creed where the multiplayer sucks and when you beat the game you dont even play anymore.
Saints row 3 and 4 had SHIT tons to do
The thing is that those sandbox games give you tools and with those tools you have a wide freedom of what to do with them
The thing lacking in this game is freedom with your tool
Everything you hack is for one purpose and only one purpose and i doubt the number of things you hack increase once you hit past half the game
Like just cause 2 they give you a hook but you can do insane amount of things with the hook
attach a car to a plane, hook swing, trip wire, fling a guy to a propane tank, make a random car drag him etc
I wouldnt even wanna list the tons of things you can do in GTA
The thing about watch dogs is not MAINLY because it is repetitive(cause it is), but because there's no substance in what you do
There's no flare or sense of achievement or fascination
You dont get a surge or sort of excitement when you hack things and they do what they do
It's almost generic or like you said, just too easy.
