Way more than trilogy bro.
Halo 1,2,3, ODST, 4, Reach soon 5, not even close to a trilogy either
Gears 1,2,3, judgement... isn't a trilogy.
Those are AA-AAA franchises, not trilogies. God of War isn't a trilogy either, as there's what, 8 titles now?
Even if Half Life comes out, it won't be a trilogy, cause there's Episodes 1 & 2.
Oh yeah Crash isn't exactly a trilogy either (crash team racing, same applies to J&D with Jack racing or whatever).
And I forgot, Uncharted: Abyss is out, so Uncharted is already ruled out.
Mass effect is the only trilogy I know of lol. And if I'm not correct they are making a new Mass Effect game (ME4...) so yeah
It seems like unlike movie directors, game devs can't help but milk their franchises. Which is what I fear for The Last of Us. I don't reeeaaally want a sequel, because I doubt ND will ever make a TLOU game as great as the first. If they do manage to pull of a trilogy where every game is as good or better than the first then Sony will force them to milk it into infinity.
