but the ps4 isn't backwards compatable so hows it going to read ps3 discs?

It reads a key off the disc. It doesn't run off the disc

You pay $60 for the ps3 while you wait for the release of the ps4 and then when the ps4 comes out you just pay $10 to make the ps3 disc work for the ps4
So instead of spending another $60 for the next gen disc on top of the previous gen disc, you only spend $10 on top

It's sad when you go shopping and you know more then the person trying to sell you something.
Ofc I am not rude and don't say anything.

@Property Damage - it's to stop people from just giving out the code or buying the game, using the code, and returning it.

Of the flip side it's sad when people come and shop from me and tell me I'm wrong about something because something they read on the Internet or something a friend told them. Or better yet that I'm wrong because they are confused about how something works or just in denial because they don't want to believe something.

Guy once told me I was bullshitting him because I told him the battery in a current sony camera was most likely not the same as the battery for his 6 year old sony camera. Problem was he didn't bring his camera. He then changed the subject and wanted a device to record his cellphone conversations for "records". I told him it was first of all illegal, and that there was no such thing as a consumer level device you could buy product that he could purchase at retail. He would need a cable to go from his phone to a device through another cable to a microphone. This way he could record not only his voice but what the phone was receiving from the other person. He told me I was bullshitting him and didn't know what I was talking about and demanded to see my digital voice recorders. Told me he could probably do it with that and an auxiliary cable. Eventually stormed out.

Needless to say I was in awe.
